Stalking in town parks inlaid with
trees
or tiptoeing down weedy alleys
and visiting tatty market streets
I am the Gatherer
of peeling veneer from grandma's house
and warped ply from dad's shed
cobbled together marquetry, chipped
board
and tea-ringed table tops
discarded lives of a thousand trees
